A familiar sight in Fermanagh in the run up to Christmas, the Rotary Santa Mobile was officially set in motion at the Rotary Club of Enniskillen’s lunchtime meeting at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, on Monday afternoon.

In a traditional gesture, which marked its launch, Enniskillen Rotary President, Henry Robinson also presented cheques to St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army; they were represented by Mr. Joe Maguire and Major Simon Wright.

The colourful Santa Mobile, which has become a traditional feature over the festive period, will once again get out and about as Rotarians make their annual Christmas Collections from December 16 to 23.

The main stopping point will be at the Diamond, Enniskillen, while the Santa Mobile will also visit Irvinestown. As always, there will be a cheery welcome as Santa and his helpers enjoy meeting and greeting people of all ages.

Mr. Robinson highlighted that the proceeds will be used to assist various local charities and good causes in Fermanagh through the year, St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army being the first.
