PHOTOS BY DONNIE PHAIR The audience gave the dancers in the Enniskillen Royal Boat Club Not So Strictly a perfect 10 last week as the dancing couples delivered a toe-tapping evening of top entertainment while raising £13,5000 for the club.

Under the tutelage of Dylan Quinn, the couples -- Gaye Conway and Derek Holland, Siobhan O’Hare-Smith and Damian Dempster, Mia-Jayne Elliott and Nathan Timoney, Claire O’Donnell Olphert and Gary Jones, Angela Rix and John McDade, Erin O’Reilly and Odhran Donaghy, Adele Kerr and Alan Elliott, Robyn McIntosh and Damian O’Dolan, Carol McKeown and Eoin O’Hare, Michele Kennedy and Pat ODoherty -- had been working for two months to perfect their technique.

And those techniques certainly impressed MC Johnny Gibson, the judges Aravon McCann, Iain Kennedy, Barbara Somerville and Robert Northridge and the audience who voted for their favourite acts with their wallets -- raising money to support a club that last season enjoyed success at national, UK and international level.

Adele Kerr and Alan Elliott emerged as the victorious couple on the night.

Organiser Gaye Conway, of the Parents’ Support Group, said the funds raised last Wednesday night will probably be used to purchase a new boat.

The cross-community club has just taken receipt of two new boats bought from the £26,000 the group raised last year. These boats will assist in the development of the increasing number of rowers competing at all ages from the Fermanagh community.

The group’s next fundraiser is on April 20 with the Gala Ball at Lough Erne Resort.
