A 44-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with causing the death of his brother by dangerous driving over four years ago.
Francis McCafferty, with an address at Belault, Pettigo in County Donegal, appeared before a special sitting of Omagh Magistrates Court on Saturday.
He is charged with causing the death of Patrick John McCafferty on the Tullychurry Road area of Leggs, near Belleek, on January 5, 2014.
The defendant was arrested in Strabane, County Tyrone on Wednesday of this week.
He has been further charged with not having a driving licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance on March 28, 2018.
Police objected to the defendant being released on bail.
However, district judge, Nigel Broderick, granted bail, subject to a number of conditions.
McCafferty was then remanded in custody until these conditions are met.
The case has been adjourned until a sitting of Fermanagh Magistrates Court later this month.
