Police attended the sudden death of a man, aged in his 20s, close to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s (FODC) Omagh base at The Grange on Friday morning last week.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
In an email issued internally from the Council to staff, seen by The Impartial Reporter, Director of Environment and Place, Kevin O’Gara, said that workmen and council staff on the site of the new phase of the riverside walk, adjacent to the Grange Park had found the young man.
“The Police and Ambulance Service are in attendance and are dealing with this tragic situation,” Mr. O’Gara told staff, “Consulting will be provided to all staff involved.”
Police confirmed they attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council told The Impartial Reporter: “The Council will not be making any comment on this sensitive issue.”
