A marvellous line-up of cattle appeared before the judges from early on Wednesday morning at Fermanagh County Show with exhibitors from all over Northern Ireland having an early start.
There was brief rain shower during the livestock judging, but it failed to dampen spectators’ spirits.
One of the first breeds decided was the Simmental Championship which went to W.D and J.D. Hazelton from Dungannon with reserve going to Fermanagh exhibitor, Keith Nelson, Rosslea.
The Pedigree Simmental classes were judged by Fermanagh local, Zara Clarke, formerly Stubbs from Irvinestown, who said it was lovely to be at the County Show judging the breeds she grew up with.
Described by Zara as “full of breed character and the strongest of its class,” the overall winner of the Pedigree Simmental Championship was a bull from W D & J D Hazelton from Dungannon.
