County milk and beef silage winners announced

Fermanagh UFU has announced the results of the county silage competition. A large entry was received

The winners were;

Dairy section winner - Mr. George Darling, Killymacken, Aghalane;

Beef section winner - Mr. William Elliott, Minrin Derrygonnelly.

Mr Alastair Breen, of Thompsons judged the competition.

Last summer was a testing time for livetock farmers with wet weather interfering with silage making from May right through the summer. However some farmers took advantage of some dry spells..
