Diners at the biennial Harper Adams in Ireland Association dinner in Enniskillen this weekend will savour a feast of local produce.
The Association holds its dinner in the Killyhevlin Hotel this Saturday evening, September 11 when former graduates and those associated with Harper Adams University College in Ireland come together.
Presiding will be the Chairman of Harper Adams in Ireland Association, Mr. Joe Lawson and the guest speaker will be UUP MEP, Mr. Jim Nicholson.
Among those attending will be the Principal of Harper Adams, Dr. David Llewellyn and the former principal, Professor Wynne Jones will also be in attendance.
One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of the Truesdale Award, a prize sponsored by John Thompson and Sons and presented by a member of the Truesdale family. It is named after John Thompsons and Sons director, the late Mr. Victor Truesdale who co-ordinated links between Harper Adams and the feed industry.
All ingredients for the meal will be sourced from local suppliers including Moy Park based at several sites in Northern Ireland; Silver Hill Foods,based in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, Kettyle Irish Foods, Lisnaskea and Fivemiletown Creamery.
Graduates of Harper Adams from throughout Ireland will be travelling to Enniskillen for the event.
