The Ulster Farmers’ Union in County Fermanagh is hosting an “Agri Vehicles on the Road” information evening in the Exhibition Centre, Ulster Farmers’ Mart in Enniskillen on Wednesday evening next, October 6. The event starts at 7.30pm.
UFU County Chairman Derek Thornton said; “I would encourage all local farmers and their sons and daughters to come to the livestock market next Wednesday evening. The event is focusing on the rules and regulations around taking agricultural vehicles onto the road. We want farmers to know the rules so they can avoid getting unnecessarily into trouble. We have a very wide range of trade stands so it should be an informative evening.
Farmers can speak to the experts from the different agencies and will hopefully be better informed about taking vehicles onto the road. There will also be refreshments and a warm welcome for all our members”.
Trade stands will include: UFU, NFU Mutual and Young Farmers Clubs; PSNI; Fire and Rescue; Revenue and Customs; Health and Safety Executive; CAFRE; Rural Development Funding; training providers; tractors; quads; and security systems.
The event marks the beginning of the Winter Programme of events for the UFU Groups in South West, North and South East Fermanagh.
