The Irish National Sheepdog Trials held at Pettigo enjoyed marvellous summer weather and attracted crowds from around Europe and America.
The Trials to select the top 15 dogs and their handlers for the international event against England, Scotland and Wales, were held at Castle McGrath, a short distance outside Pettigo from Thursday last to Saturday.
Sheepdog trialling in Ireland is now a major event especially as Ireland has climbed the rankings in recent years to become one of the top countries.
Apart from three long days of trials, the Irish Nationals also included a social programme, with dancing in the marquee on Friday night.
