A record price of �6,600 was set at the Allams Christmas Show and Sale of beef cattle and spectacular calves held at the Royal Ulster Agricultural Showgrounds, Balmoral.

The championship and record price went to Jack Smyth of Newtownstewart for his Limousin steer.

The judge was Peter Hannan of Hannan Meats and the Ulster Housewife's Championship was judged by Will and Gareth Corrie.

The Show was again well supported by livestock exhibitors from the west of the Province.
