Fermanagh breeders lifted top awards at the recent Northern Ireland Charolais Society’s export show and sale in Dungannon.

Judge Liam Muir from Orkney was impressed with the turnout of stock and awarded supreme champion to Kenneth Veitch’s Drumlone Hunter. The bull went on to sell for 4,000 gns However it was Liam Johnston from Tempo who had the joint highest priced animal, a 13-month- old bull, Mountain Ideal at 5,000gns. He had been a class winner.

Adrian Richardson from Maguiresbridge, ook 4,400gns for Hillview Farm Halo and S & D Bothwell took home 3,200gns for class winners, Killadeas Harvey ET & Killadeas Hustler. The event was sponsored by Danske Bank and auctioneers were Dungannon Farmers’ Mart.
