The RUAS are excited to announce that Lely, in association with Draynes Farm, will host a live milking exhibition at the Balmoral Show from May 13-15. It will be the first live milking event at an exhibition in Northern Ireland.
Tomás Cooney of Lely commented: “We were delighted to give the project the go ahead. It has been in the planning stage for the last six months and will no doubt be one of the main attractions at this year’s show.” Forty cows from Draynes Farm will be milked with a Lely Astronaut A4 robotic milking system.
Dairy farmers and the general public will have the opportunity of experiencing firsthand how the whole system works, which will be a first for many. More details on robotic milking at the Balmoral Show will follow.
