Mr. Frederick Hugh Collum (Fred) passed away peacefully in the South West Acute Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, after a short illness.

Fred was the second youngest, born on July 8, 1928, to the late Robert and Florence Collum, Drumsillagh, Letterbreen.

He went to Moybane School and when he was 14 he left school to work on the family farm.

He married Ethel Elliott on September 21, 1960 and set up home on the family farm which he subsequently took over from his late father due to ill health.

He had one son Maurice and two daughters Margaret and Linda and five grandchildren.

Fred had a great interest in gardening and farming; he did everything with great pride and attention to detail.

His funeral service, which attracted a huge attendance, took place at Mullaghdun Parish Church.
The funeral was conducted by Canon Ivan Ruiters. The hymns included: Just as I am, without one plea, O Lord My God, when I in awesome wonder, and Abide with Me, fast falls the Eventide.

The readings were read by his niece Lorraine Simpson and grandson David Burleigh. David also did a tribute to his granddad.
Burial took place in the adjoining graveyard.

Fred is survived by his son Maurice, daughter-in-law Ruth, daughter Margaret, son-in-law William and daughter Linda.

He leaves five grandchildren, whom he was devoted to, also a wider family circle and friends.

The funeral arrangements were by Austen Stinson, W.T. Morrison, Enniskillen.
