A defibrillator has been presented to St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen by the Irvine family.

Dean Kenny Hall and Churchwardens Noel Johnston and Raymond Campbell from St. Macartin’s are pictured with George and Myrtle Irvine, who made the presentation in memory of their son Dr. Alistair Irvine who died unexpectedly of a heart condition on February 21, 2016.

The defibrillator will be available for use in the Cathedral and new Cathedral Halls.

Dr William Holmes has kindly offered to train personnel in the use of the equipment.

Dean Hall said they greatly appreciated the Irvine family “donating this very worthwhile medical equipment that may save lives and is a very fitting tribute to the memory of Alistair.”

The Irvine family thanks everyone who made donations towards the defibrillator in lieu of flowers.
