There was widespread shock and sadness at the sudden death of Larry Furlong on April 21, 2010. Larry was the fourth in a family of six born to Richard and Christina Furlong, Co. Wexford. He was aged 58 years. Larry met and married Kathleen Bailey in London; they were married in 1974 and had their daughter Maria in 1975 and son Andrew in 1985. They moved from London to Enniskillen in 1982. Larry worked in Phoenix Picture Frames factory until he took up painting and decorating as self employment 10 years ago. He enjoyed and was very passionate about his work and gained a good reputation. Larry was a member of the congregation of The Jehovah's Witnesses and had a strong faith which he shared with people on a regular basis. He had a keen interest in football, tennis and squash. He was a loving, kind and hard working husband, father and grandfather.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Kathleen, daughter Maria, son-in-law David and grandson Daniel, his son Andrew, wife Amelia and the wider family circle.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by W.T. Morrison, Funeral Directors, Enniskillen.
