Mrs. Kathleen McClintock

There has been widespread shock and disbelief at the sudden death of Kathleen McClintock on Sunday June 13, 2010 in the Erne Hospital.

Kathleen was born on February 22, 1935 in Kelly's Cottages, Enniskillen, born between the bridges, a true townie and she was very proud of this.

Kathleen received her early education at Abbey Street School and then the Convent.

She was an accomplished seamstress and won a nation-wide prize while at school.

She married Billy McClintock in August 1953 and dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her.

Another passion in Kathleen's life was her garden. Her love of nature and her talent for gardening filled her with great joy.

Kathleen was always full of life, enjoyed the craic and always had an open door for everyone. Her love of family and friends was reflected by the huge number of people who comforted her devastated family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Cecilia, Tony, Rita, Derek, Katrina and Stephen; her sons-in law and daughters-in-law; her grandchildren Lisa, Andrea, Ross, Nicola, Neil, Andrew, Victoria, Holly, Georgia, Shannon, Sophie, Katie and Luke; great-grandchildren Ellie-Grace, Caina and Kurtis.

Kathleen was pre-deceased by her husband Billy seven years ago.

A huge gathering attended her funeral which took place on Tuesday June 15, 2010 in St. Michael's Church, Enniskillen. The celebrant was Fr. Martin O'Reilly and burial took place in Breandrum Cemetery.

Kathleen's Month's Mind will take place on Saturday July 17, 2010 at 6.00pm in St. Michael's Church, Enniskillen.
