The death of Mrs. Kathleen Morrow, aged 93, occurred on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 44 Baragh Gardens, Ballinamallard, where she had lived since 1987.

She was a native of Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal, and at the time of her marriage in 1946 she and her husband, the late William David set up home on a farm at Makenny, Ballinamallard. They later moved to farm at Drumhoney, Lisnarick. Following the death of her husband, Kathleen moved home again to Ballinamallard in 1987.

Kathleen was converted to Christ as she sat under the preaching of the gospel in a mission conducted by a Brethren evangelist many years ago, and later in 1984 joined membership of Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church.

Though being of a quiet, humble disposition she bore eloquent testimony of her faith in Christ and was always determined to be present at meetings when the word of God was preached.

In 2003, she underwent the trauma of having a leg amputated but that did not deter her enthusiasm to keep attending church meetings in her wheelchair and also to go around shops in Enniskillen twice a week up until the end of December last year when her final illness commenced.

The funeral service took place in her late home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, when the Rev. Wesley Irwin, a family relative preached on Job chapter 14 verses 14 and 15.

The Rev. Irwin was assisted by the Rev. Ivan Foster and the Rev. Larry Power. Interment was in the family plot in Sydare Cemetery.

Kathleen is survived by her two sons, David and Alex, and her two daughters Hazel and Mabel.

The funeral arrangements were by M.G. Madill, Funeral Directors.
