A well-known and popular Fermanagh man, Mr. Cecil McDonagh passed away suddenly on June 24, 2014, on holiday in Spain.
The 68-year-old, late of 21 Crevenish Park, Kesh, had previously been in very good health. Born in Irvinestown, he attended Victoria School, Irvinestown, and Kesh Intermediate School.
A son of Isobel and Jack McDonagh (both deceased), he was a brother of Robert, Jim, Rita (Thompson) and Linda.
His career included concreting lanes and he spent 23 years at St. Angelo and Grosvenor Barracks working in the kitchens.
Cecil’s funeral service at Derryvullen North Parish Church, Irvinestown, was conducted by the Rev. Canon Glenn West, and burial followed in the adjoining churchyard. Cecil is survived by his wife Muriel, his daughter Elaine McGovern, sons Darren, Thomas and partner Jenny, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The support received from everyone at this difficult time is deeply appreciated by the family.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Funeral Directors, F.G. McFarland and Sons, Kesh.
