A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Herbie Ingram passed away in South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, on July 27, 2014, after a short illness.

Born on April 17, 1960, in Co. Cavan, his parents were Tommy and Elizabeth and he was one of four children. Herbie’s family moved in 1962 to Derrycorby, Newtownbutler, where farming was their livelihood.

During his working life, he worked in Arkwright’s Cotton Factory in Lisnaskea, where he met his wife June. When the factory closed he took up employment in Quinn Glass, Derrylin, until he became ill.

He was married for 22 years to his wife June, who survives him. He also leaves a family of three boys, son Gary (fiancée Christina) and stepsons Darren (wife Leanne) and Gerald (fiancée Susan). He was also a loving granddad to Harvey and Ellie, who will miss him dearly. Also surviving Herbie are his brothers Jimmy and John and sister Jean and their families, Newtownbutler, Maguiresbridge and Clontibret.

Herbie’s interests included farming, working with machinery and tractors. In addition, he was a big fan of Manchester Utd Football Club, but above all family was his main interest.

His Hospice Nurse and the District Nurses who provided the utmost care and support throughout his illness are appreciated by Herbie’s family, who also acknowledge the callers to the house, those who attended the funeral in Newtownbutler, and all the support received. The funeral arrangements were by Dowler’s, Lisnaskea.
