His Royal Highness, The Earl of Wessex (Prince Edward) visited The Lough Erne Golf Resort yesterday (Wednesday) to meet participants of The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Marking the day that the impressive Nick Faldo designed championship golf course opened to the public, Prince Edward accepted an invitation from Resort owner, Jim Tracey to sign a photograph of the Golf Resort and commented on the 'impressive facility.'

He also took a stroll to the Putting Green, overlooking Castle Hume Lough and watched as young Duke of Edinburgh participants received a golf lesson from Peter Smyth, Golf Operations Manager at the Lough Erne Golf Resort.
