The Fermanagh County Show which ended last Wednesday afternoon was given ministerial approval.

The Agriculture Minister, Michelle Gildernew who visited the Show, meeting farmers after touring the trade stands, the livestock judging rings and home industries sections, said, "The Fermanagh Show is an important date in the agricultural calendar, with a strong showing from the local rural community. Every farmer knows that when the annual visit to Fermanagh Show comes around, the show season is closing in."

"Although 2009 has been a difficult year, I am hopeful that our agri-food sectors are robust enough to weather the current economic storm and will see light at the end of the tunnel in the next 12 months."
