Double recognition for Lough Erne Golf Resort

The Lough Erne Golf Resort.

The Lough Erne Golf Resort has been included in a short list of top buildings completed in the last 10 years.

The shortlist, compiled by the Construction Employers Federation (CEF), lists the top resort on the Shore Road outside Enniskillen as fourth in its list of 10. Project architects for the resort were Maxwell Pierce from Enniskillen

Prestigious developments such as Victoria Square in Belfast are also listed.

The public can vote on-line on the CEF website (www.cefni.co.uk) and also the website of the Belfast Telegraph (www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk).

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on October 8. Voting will close on October 7.

And on Tuesday, the Lough Erne Golf Resort was named as Top Regional Member North at the Good Food Ireland awards at the K Club in County Kildare. Good Food Ireland is an industry body that promotes excellence in food tourism. The organisation has about 250 members.

Margaret Jeffares, Managing Director of Good Food Ireland, said she hoped the awards would highlight places committed to local Irish food so that consumers can find out and make informed choices on where to go to eat out or stay.
