A still from the video uploaded on the internet of cars being driven on Lough Scolban.

FOOLISH and dangerous, these are the hair-raising images of cars being driven across a frozen lake in Belleek.

The three videos uncovered by the Impartial Reporter on the internet show how a group of men repeatedly put their lives at risk on Lough Scolban.

Without considering their safety, they continued their foolish antics again and again - uploading the evidence to the internet for the world to see.

In the first video, a Citroen is driven across the deep lough while several men behind the camera laugh, cheer and swear.

One shouts: "That Ben boy is a mad b****d"". While another shouts: "Hey Ben, don't be going out there. Come back."

Then a few seconds later as the car steers to the right, the thick ice can he heard cracking under its weight and it begins to sink. At this point the men start shouting and swearing in disbelief but nobody goes to see if the driver is OK or not - despite the car sinking that much that just the top of it and the boot are visible. The video then ends.

Another video shows the group successfully driving across the frozen lough in a white car at speed.

In their final video, also uploaded to YouTube by user '4444Benjamin', the men attempt to drive yet another car over the frozen waters but it stalls in the middle of the lake and the driver has to run back to shore. In this video, just the top of the Citroen used in the previous stunt can be seen.

The description of this particular video includes the following disclaimer: "Don't go complaining to us or u will get a mouthful of dung in ur ear!"
