With the continuing rise in energy and fuel bills, the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) is delivering a range of workshops across Northern Ireland to introduce farmers and growers to renewable energy technologies. The workshop is aimed at those who wish to know more about existing and emerging renewable energy technologies, according to Cathal Ellis of Greenmount Campus.
The course will provide an introduction to the issues, provide information on a range of renewable technologies and examine the costs and payback periods. Technologies covered will include:biomass heating systems, solar thermal water heating, wind power, heat pumps and anaerobic digestion.
The introductory course will take place at a number of venues including Enniskillen Campus on Wednesday afternoon next, February 3.
