The keys of the new Lisbellaw Controlled Primary School building were officially handed over to the Principal this week.

Making the presentation to Mrs. Ingrid Logan on Tuesday morning was Mr. Seamus Mulligan, of Tracey Bros., the contractors.

In attendance were Hubert Turner, project manager for the WELB, and John Tracey and Peter Maguire, of Tracey Bros.

Mrs. Logan is delighted to have reacwhed this stage of the development. The staff and pupils will move into the new school (located directly behind the existing school) on Monday next, March 1.

Yesterday(Wednesday), the pupils were afforded the opportunity (class by class) to go and view their new classrooms which are all fully furnished.

The Principal regards it as a very exciting time for Lisbellaw Primary and she describes their new building as bright, airy and spacious.

"It has a lovely warm feel about it," believes Mrs. Logan.

She commented that their new school will provide a modern flexible environment for not only the pupils and teachers but will also provide a valuable resource for the entire community.
