The annual vintage charity parade and run will take place from Friday. August 20 to Sunday, August 22.
The charity parade this year is in aid of Horizon West Children’s Hospice which is currently being built in at Killadeas.
The charity collection is being organised by Mrs. Gladys O’Callaghan, who is the chairperson of Fermanagh Friends of the Hospice group.
The parade will leave Railway car park at 7pm on Friday, August 20 commencing with the pre-war cars followed by the main parade of bands, cars and tractors and will travel through Belmore Street, Townhall Street, Church Street, Darling Street, returning by the Queen Elizabeth Road. A magnificent display of bands, vintage cars, tractors, lorries, bicycles, motorbikes and Disney characters, a display of Highland Scottish dancing and Irish dancing will take place at Gaol Square and music at the Diamond.
Special areas will be set aside for disabled parking along the Queen Elizabeth Road.
On Saturday, August 21 at 11am, the vintage and classic cars will leave the Killyhevlin Hotel for Ardess near Kesh. The route will be along the Shore Road to Roscor and back to Ardess Parish Church for lunch via Boa Island.
On Sunday, August 22, the cars leave the Killyhevlin Hotel at 11am for a short tour and finish in the Valley Hotel for lunch.
To date, the Erne Vintage Car Club has raised over £90,000 for various charities.
