McGuinness 'should answer HET questions about bomb'
Stormont Minister Arlene Foster has challenged Martin McGuinness to "tell the truth" about the Enniskillen Poppy Day bomb.
The Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA wants the former IRA commander to reveal what she claims he knows about the 1987 atrocity which killed 11 people as they gathered at the Cenotaph.
During an interview on RTE television last night, Mr. McGuinness, who is running in the Irish presidential race, said he was "ashamed" about republican involvement in the Enniskillen bomb. However, he has repeatedly insisted that he left the organisation in 1974.
But Mrs. Foster has called on Mr. McGuinness, who stepped aside as Deputy First Minister to run for the presidency, to talk to the Historical Enquiry Team on what he knows about Enniskillen.
Speaking to impartialreporter.com, Mrs. Foster said: "Look, if Martin McGuinness thinks the murders were shameful then he shouldn't have any problem in answering any questions that the HET might have."
The Minister said it would be "more helpful to the healing process" if Mr. McGuinness was to "tell the truth".
