Shots fired at car in Belleek

Detectives in Enniskillen are investigating a report that shots were fired at a car in the Ardees Road area of Belleek on Monday afternoon.

Sometime between 12.15pm and 12.30pm, it was reported that a car believed to be a black Volvo sustained damage to the offside passenger door after shots were fired at it. The driver was not injured but was badly shaken.

The car has been recovered for forensic examination and police inquiries are continuing.

Anyone who noticed any unusual activity in the area, or shooting in the Ardees or Loughshore Road areas or who has any information is asked to contact Enniskillen CID on 0845 600 8000.
