Stone throwing youths wreak havoc in Maguiresbridge
STONE-THROWING youths are believed to be behind a string of incidents in Maguiresbridge yesterday (Sunday).
A number of cars were damaged and a hoax bomb call was even made to police in Enniskillen claiming a device had been left in the village.
It all started at 7.30pm when youths threw stones at a vehicle on the Drumgoon Road, cracking the driver's windscreen. Over half an hour later another was car was hit by stones, causing two scrapes on the driver's door. In this particular incident youths were observed running into a local housing estate. Then at 8.20pm a group youths fired stones at the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe.
But it didn't stop there. A hoax bomb call was made to police shortly afterwards, when, according to the PSNI, a "young person", said: "There is a bomb in a green Ford Mondeo up the street." Officers checked out the area and confirmed it was a hoax.
Police believe all of the incidents are linked and are appealing for information.
