Nominations for Wool Board election
Nominations are being sought by the British Wool Marketing Board from candidates in Northern Ireland as the present term of the sitting member, Ian Buchanan ends in March this year.
The new appointment will take effect from April 1 2012 and run for three years.
The Board brings together a wide range of skills. Members normally expect to work between 20-30 days a year attending Board Meetings over a period of two or three days each month, as well as other local and national BWMB business. Remuneration of around £8,600 is paid annually, plus expenses.
To be eligible a candidate must be nominated in writing by at least 10 registered wool producers in the relevant regions, who will each need to supply their name, address, authorised signature and registration number.

No special form of nomination is required but the BWMB will supply suitable forms and further information if required.
