An alleged rapist and child abuser appeared at Enniskillen Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday) and denied all the charges against him

Leo Joseph Hoad, of Beech Hill, Cavanaleck, Enniskillen, is accused of carrying out 13 sex attacks on two young girls.

The girls cannot be named for legal reasons.

Hoad faces 10 charges of raping one of the girls between January 29, 1992, and July 12, 1993.

The 33-year-old alleged paedophile is further charged with one count of raping the other girl and two of indecently assaulting her between January 1, 1998, and January 1, 2000.

During an earlier bail application the court heard that the girls were aged between eight and 10 at the time they were allegedly raped and molested.

When the 13 charges were put Hoad he replied: "Not guilty."

He was remanded in custody until his trial, which is expected to last a week to a week-and-a-half and is scheduled to start at Omagh Crown Court on March 20.
