Local people named in Queen's Birthday Honours List

A number of people from Fermanagh and Tyrone have been named in the Birthday Honours' List announced to-day.
Adele Kerr, Principal of Enniskillen Integrated Primary School, is to receive the MBE for services to education while Catherine Joy Peters, from Enniskillen, who is Orthoptic Services Manager with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, is to receive the MBE for services to health care in Northern Ireland.
Augher woman, Margaret Irene Boyd, is also to receive the MBE for services to the community.
Edith Eleanor Boyd from Augher will receive the BEM for services to the Girl Guide movement.
Another familiar face in Fermanagh, Elaine Way, Chief Executive of the Western Health and Social Care Trust is to receive the CBE for services to health care. The Trust is responsible for opening the new South West Acute Hospital near Enniskillen this week.
An Enniskillen police officer, Detective Chief Inspector Derek Harry Scott is to receive the Queen's Police Medal.
