Police are warning of traffic disruption during a contentious loyalist parade and counter protest in Newtownbutler tonight.

"Some disruption may be expected from 7pm onwards," said a PSNI spokesman. "It is anticipated that events should be cleared by 11pm.

"Police will endeavour to facilitate through traffic, but the Drumcru Road will be closed during parade times.

"Police are grateful to the local community and motorists for their patience and support and will seek to minimise any inconvenience," he added.

He said there may also be some traffic disruption during a parade in the village on Sunday.
