The annual parade by the Newtownbutler Border Defenders Flute Band passed off without incident last night (Friday).
Many supporters, including MLAs Tom Elliott and Arlene Foster watched the contentious parade.
The Parades Commission allowed up to 100 people to protest following criticism from some of the residents in the predominately Nationalist area who were against the parade taking place.
The band parade and protesters were kept apart by police enforcing the Parades Commission ruling which meant the parade began from a distance of 80 metres from the entrance to the Drumcru road whilst the protest was confined to an area 40 metres from the junction of High Street and Main Street in the town.
There was no sign of the volume of police in the town which was evident in recent years and no reports of any incidents.
