New South West Acute Hospital.

CAR parking availability at the new South West Acute Hospital is to be reviewed by the Western Trust.

It comes following a number of complaints from people throughout Fermanagh about parking provisions at the new hospital.

Ulster Unionist Party representatives, Tom Elliott MLA and Councillor Raymond Farrell, have welcomed the news.

In a statement, Mr. Elliott said: "After raising these complaints with the necessary officials, we received assurances from the Western Health and Social Care Trust that they are currently undertaking a review of parking provision. We will now meet with them during the summer to discuss the outcome of this review and what action needs to be taken".

Councillor Farrell added: "We have also been in contact with Planning Service and requested that they also review the parking provision.

"It is the interests of the entire community to ensure that the new hospital has enough parking, and to this end we will be working on this matter until we achieve an effective, long term solution," he said.
