Date set for £1.5m fraud trial

THE trial of a 44-year-old man accused of swindling people out of over £1.5 million is set to begin on August 20 at Dungannon Crown Court.

In all, Eric James Boyd, Carrowkeel Road, Magonragh, Lisbellaw, faces three charges of theft, three of obtaining a money transfer by deception, 23 counts of fraud by false representation and a further 12 counts of deception with intent to make permanent default on an exisiting liability.
