The Supreme Dairy Cow Championship at Fermanagh County Show was regained by a Fermanagh exhibitor this year.

The blue riband event was won this year by Seamus Gunn from Derrylin with his pedigree Holstein, Ernevale S Storm bred by himself.

He received the Farmers' Challenge Cup.

Elsewhere, another local livestock exhibitor, Raymond Crawford, Maguiresbridge

won the Limousin beef breed championship with other local pedigree breeders taking reserve championship awards.

This year's Show Princess, Ellen Bailey from Derrygonnelly, toured the showgrounds in her new role after being selected at a dance organised by Fermanagh young farmers clubs on Tuesday night.

The Show enjoyed warm sunshine throughout Tuesday evening and Wednesday as summer weather eventually arrived.
