College wins award for teaching
The South West College has received an award for its teaching of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
It has been reported that South West College, which has campuses at the Gaol Suqare and at the Dublin Road in Enniskillen, is spending £2.5m on new technology centres at three of its campuses.
It is also the first college in Northern Ireland to be asked to join the Intelligent Colleges' Network, which recognises innovation, the BBC reports.
The college had been granted "STEM-assured" status, the first in Northern Ireland.
There are only believed to be 12 STEM colleges throughout the United Kingdom.
