Thomas McCaffrey has elected to be returned for trial.

A 42-year-old man accused of stealing three bags of food from a Chinese take-away has elected for trial before a Crown Court judge and jury.

Thomas McCaffrey, of Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen, appeared at Fermanagh Court charged with the burglary of the Hong Kong Chinese take-away at Belmore Street in Enniskillen. It is alleged that on April 13, he entered the kitchen area of the take-away and stole three bags of food.

Asked if he wished to be tried before Fermanagh Court or a higher court, McCaffrey elected for trial before a judge and jury at the higher court.

The case was adjourned until October 8.
