74-year-old charged with sexually abusing girl

A 74-year-old pensioner has appeared at Fermanagh Court charged with sexually abusing a young girl.
John James O'Rourke, of Hillview Park, Enniskillen, faces two charges of indecently assaulting the child on dates between February 28, 1984, and February 28, 1988.
The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.
The case was adjourned until October 15, for the preparation of Preliminary Enquiry papers at which point the District Judge will decide whether there is sufficient evidence to return O'Rouke for trial at the Crown Court.
O'Rourke was released on bail on condition that does not attempt to see, speak to or in any other way contact the injured party and another named female, either directly or indirectly.
He is also prohibited from having any contact with any child under 16 years of age unless authorised by Social Services and the police in writing.
He is further banned from entering certain specified areas of Enniskillen.
