20-year-old warned to 'cut the drugs out' of his life
A 20-year-old man has been warned to "cut the drugs out" or he will end up in a lot more trouble.
Lee Newman, of Galliagh Park, Enniskillen, was fined £150 when he appeared at Fermanagh Court and admitted unlawfully possessing cannabis.
A prosecutor explained that at 3.50pm on August 25, police called at a house in Galliagh Park looking for someone other than Newman. Newman let them into the house and while there the officers found cannabis and a cannabis grinder. Newman told them the drug was his and for his personal use.
Defence solicitor, Mr. Gary Smyth, described it as a "minimal amount" of cannabis.
District Judge Mervyn Bates said Newman had received a police caution in June in relation to his drug taking but it "didn't seem to do any good as this was two months later".
He warned him: "Mr. Newman, cut the drugs out. You will end up in an awful lot more trouble if you don't."
