A short video preview of 'Blandings', the comedic period-drama filmed at Crom Castle earlier this year has been released on the internet and is creating much excitement. Starring Jennifer Saunders, David Walliams, Timothy Spall, Mark Williams and Paloma Faith, the six-part series set in 'Blandings Castle' in 1929 will likely be broadcast in early 2013.

Crom manager Noel Johnston says he is looking forward to seeing the show when it hits our screens.

"I can't wait and I know everybody here is just as excited as I am. As soon as the preview went on-line we were getting messages on Facebook and e-mails from people all over the country. It looks great but I know the real thing will look even better when it is shown on the television," he said.

It was thought that Blandings would be broadcast at the end of November and into December but now it is understood that the BBC are considering holding it until the New Year as they don't want it 'swallowed up' in the schedules by Christmas programming.

Said Noel: "I know the BBC are really, really excited about it and are still deciding on when they should broadcast it. They obviously think it will be a huge success, just like we do, and don't want to rush it for the sake of it."
