LAW DJs, Lisa and Alice Wallace.

Florencecourt sister DJ act, Lisa and Alice Wallace, have won a major award at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) at the weekend.

The DJs, known as L.A.W., were announced as the ADE 2012 Demo Demolition XVI winners at the huge electronic dance music Industry convention, conference and festival held in the Dutch city.

"We were in a complete state of shock, lost for words and overwhelmed! The prizes that we won are amazing. It is a massive achievement for us and we are still buzzing from it," they said.

They explained: "One of the most popular panels during ADE is for up-and-coming artists who are attending the event and have the opportunity to submit their music into a dropbox. We submitted a CD of our latest productions. One of the moderators then pre-selects a number of tracks from the hundreds of submissions to showcase during the conference, where a panel of experts give their opinions to the attendees and rate out of 10," they explained.

This year the panel was hosted by the Baron of Techno DJ Dave Clarke, and panellists included DJs Mauro Picotto, Laidback Luke, Black Asteroid, DJ Pierre, and industry experts Jim Tremayne and Niels Brands.

"We were extremely surprised when we heard our remix of Angel Alanis' track 'Tube' being played over the sound system. The feedback from the panel was great and gained great marks from each judge. At the end of the showcase, the scores for each artists submission was added and we were announced as the ADE 2012 Demo Demolition XVI winners," they said.

Their success comes during their first visit to the Amsterdam event.
