The River Drowes in Donegal has again offered up the first salmon of 2013 in Ireland with Timothy Dalton, Omagh and Colin Gardner from Newry both making catches on the first morning on the New Year.

The race for the first salmon is a much cherished prize among the angling fraternity and the prize had been won for the last two years by Ian Martin from Dungannon.

See Thursday's Impartial Reporter for full details on the landing of the first salmon in 2013.
