A local pupil has been named a finalist in this year's Fine Dine at Mine All-Ireland Schools Cookery Competion.
The Restaurants Association of Ireland and St. Angela’s College, Sligohave announced that Grace Kettyle from Enniskillen Collegiate Grammer School, has made the final which takes place on May 5 and 6.
Each finalist in the competition has now been paired up with a local chef. The chef will mentor the students on their dish, flavours and presentation in advance of the final cook-off. Grace Kettyle will be paired up with Uno Restaurant in Enniskillen.
The competition provides secondary school students with an opportunity to be work with professionals and learn the tricks of the trade. The local chefs mentoring the students also provides them with an opportunity to cook and eat the best quality food produced in their local areas.
