Following the publication of the Committee’s report on his Private Members Bill, Lord Morrow said he was on way to “tackling the scourge of human trafficking”.
“It is the product of lengthy and intensive scrutiny, and I am delighted the Justice Committee has indicated its support for virtually the entirety of my Bill. To my mind, the report is a glowing endorsement of the Bill which I have been working on for almost two years.
“I now look forward to bringing my Bill back to the Assembly for its next reading which is Consideration Stage. It is my sincere hope that members from all sides of the House will come together to back my Bill when it is considered by the Assembly in the Autumn,” he said.
