Sinn Féin Erne East Councillor Sheamus Greene, has called on Road Service to take an urgent look at the safety of the mini roundabout in Lisnaskea.
Councillor Greene said: “There have been near misses at this roundabout on a daily basis.
"People are approaching it unaware that a roundabout even exists at the junction on Main Street and the road to Derrylin .
"There have been a number of minor accidents already but my concern would be that at some stage there will be a major accident if this junction isn’t upgraded in some way." Mr. Greene believes that the roads leading toward the junction should have raised abrasive markings to warn drivers of the dangers.
"This is a very busy junction in the middle of Fermanagh’s second largest town and I would hope that Road Service will give it priority and find a solution to this dangerous junction once and for all,” he said.
