A centenarian, who delighted in celebrating her 100th birthday on May 30, 2014, has passed away at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, on June 19, 2014.

Mary Adams, formerly Maguire, from Blacklion, late of Derrin Road, Enniskillen, enjoyed marking her special milestone at several celebrations which were held in Bundoran. She went into hospital on June 12 and died the following week after a short period of illness.

Her nephew Jimmy Maguire, from Enniskillen, who had been at her birthday parties on May 30 and 31, died on Sunday, June 8.

In recent years, Mary enjoyed very good health and she went out daily in the car with her daughter. She liked going to the beach, on day trips and shopping. She and her late husband Vincent Adams, who died in 1987, had a family of two: Liz and Francis. Mary also had a wide circle of nephews and nieces whom she was very attached to and they were very important to her.

She had been a very outgoing figure, and is remembered as sociable, kind and she was fun loving. She enjoyed company and socialising with the people she was close to.

Her funeral - a mass in celebration of her life - was held in St. Michael’s Church, Enniskillen, on Sunday, June 21. Fr. Raymond Donnelly was the celebrant.

Mary is survived by her daughter Liz and son Francis, her daughter-in-law Kathy, and the wider family circle.

The Months’s Mind Mass will be held on Friday evening, July 25, at St. Michael’s Church, Enniskillen. The funeral arrangements were by Enda Love, Enniskillen.
