Fermanagh Juniors lost their opening game at this year's Dale Farm Milk Cup, going down 4-0 to a slick Corinthians side from Brazil.

Corinthians were stronger in all areas and began brightly with Fabricio pulling the strings while centre forward Ze had a couple of early chances that he failed to capitalise on.

The Brazilians however opened the scoring in the 19th minute from a Fabricio free kick and they doubled their advantage four minutes later through Caio who slotted home from inside the box.

Fermanagh, to their credit, improved after the break with Lorcan McStravick proving a handful in attack.

However, Corinthians increased their lead through Ze although Fermanagh were unfortunate not to pull a goal back when Ronan Quinn's well struck free kick came back off the post.

Fermanagh continued to battle hard but they were hit with a fourth in the last minute as Fabricio grabbed his second from 20 yards to leave it 4-0 at the finish.

The Juniors next game is a derby encounter against Tyrone tomorrow (Tuesday) at Scroggy Road, Limavady at 1.30pm.
