Around 200 angry, confused and frustrated residents from Belcoo, Letterbreen and Mullaghdun met in Letterbreen Church of Ireland Hall last night (Tuesday), calling for a halt to fracking in Fermanagh.
Many had come from the protest camp which has been up-and-running 24/7 since Tamboran arrived at the Acheson and Glover site on the Gandrum Road last Monday.
At the protest camp last night, locals told Impartial Reporter.com of the "groundswell of opinion against fracking." Some are even willing to go to prison, if it comes to that.
Two French ladies were in attendance, "to show solidarity with those opposed to fracking in Fermanagh." Fracking is on the agenda in France and they want to see how the Belcoo protest progresses and to learn from the Fermanagh experience.
Listen to David Tyson (below) and read our extensive coverage of the ongoing fracking protest and the outcome of last night's meeting in tomorrow's Impartial Reporter.
